Review: Empire – “Too Fine” (Prod. By Jesse)

Empire is a new hip hop artist who comes in releasing this single, I personally don’t know if this is his first track but all I know is that I am going to dissect this b*tch. Well for one as an upcomer your should not try to coming to hard so if you get really big u can maintain your status rather than fall. The truth is that I am quite impressed and pleased with him for not following the crowd by trying to make a club banger or party jam. But in earnest the song is still poor and below standard, for one his lyrics are too basic and his rhymes are forced. The flow on the jam was quite average too but the producer is definitely an amateur because he put in too many beats which f*cked up the sound, and whoever mixed the song too didn’t do a very good job as there where some obvious mistakes in there. All I would say in closing is that he has a lot of potential he just needs someone to put him in the right direction, he could go to a music school or something, but bottom line is that he definitely has to work on his self.

P.N.B.B(Politics Na Big Business) -Femi Kuti Review

So this one is coming from the legendary femi kuti ft sound sultan and tuface. First of all we love afro beat and this one is no different from all the popular afro beats which come from the kuti family. The song tries to send a message to the masses about the forthcoming elections, and how not to be deceived by lies. In general its a good song, I love the way sound sultan and tuface took their verses. I think if I’m to rate over 10 I would give it a 7.

Local Rappers – Reminisce

Well this is my first written review in a log time and I can’t deny that I’m nervous, not just because its my first in a long time but also because this track has a lot of language which I obviously do not understand. Well all I can say is that I would just review the beats and flow of the song. Talking about the beat this beat is quite crazy its one of the best beats I have heard all year(even tho we are just in the beginning of the year). Reminisce was some thing else on this track as he went quite well with the beat, switching it up when necessary and all. Then you talk about Olamide and waoh!! That’s what I can say because his flow on the beat was beautiful even with his very local style he did justice on the track. Phyno, what can I say apart from the fact that he is working on himself, he is positively improving which is a good thing, tho I didn’t say he was bad but he can be better and that’s what we saw on the track. Also I wanna shout out to “tyrone” who was the man behind the beat, it was wonderfully done, Job well Done. Download
